Privacy note
What the waitlist and the creator survey keep, how it is used, and how to have it removed.
Waitlist sign-ups
When you join the waitlist we store:
- your email address
- the platforms you ticked, the option you chose for what describes you, and anything you typed about what holds you back
- a source tag from the link you used (for example a community name), and the website that sent you, if your browser shares it (the site name only, not the full address)
- which of the two sign-up forms you used, and the time you signed up
Your email is used only to tell you when Sidestage is ready.
Survey responses
When you finish or leave the survey we store:
- your answers (if the survey ends early, only the screening answers)
- your email, only if you chose to give one at the end, used only to invite you to a short follow-up chat
- a source tag from the link you used, and the website that sent you, if your browser shares it (site name only)
- the time you submitted, how long the survey took, and whether this browser had already sent a response
We do not ask for your name or account handles.
How it is used
Survey results are reported only in aggregate, as counts and percentages. No single response is published.
No data is sold or shared with anyone. It is kept in a database on Cloudflare, the service that hosts this site, and only the founder can read it.
There are no ads, analytics or tracking scripts. To limit spam, the site keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for ten minutes and then deletes it. Your browser also keeps a small note that you signed up or finished the survey, which you can clear at any time by clearing site data.
Ask for deletion
Email ashtondabeast@gmail.com with the email address you used, or the approximate date you submitted if you did not give an email. Your records will be deleted and you will get a reply confirming it.
